  • 2026 Emily H. Preyer New Program Grant

  • The North Carolina Tennis Foundation Emily H. Preyer New Program Grant is available for new programs serving under-resourced participants, and/or new programs serving physically or intellectually challenged participants in NC. Up to $2500 is available per approved applicant program.

    PLEASE NOTE:  In order to be recieve a grant, any provider for this program who will be on court, in contact or working at all with anyone 18 and under will need to be fully SAFE PLAY APPROVED. DO NOT WAIT until you are ready to start your program to fulfill this requirement.  Be proactive. It is free and all details are here. It does take some time, so please be proactive. You will be asked to submit the list of providers so that their status may be verified.

  • Expenses: In general, the following items are NOT covered under the USTA North Carolina grant guidelines:
    1. Head instructor's salary over $15/hour and assistant instructor's salary over $10/hour.
    2. Tennis facility equipment such as new nets, windscreens and ball machines.
    3. Season ending banquets/events.
    4. Travel expenses to and from events.
