NC Tennis Hall of Fame Application

CRITERIA FOR SELECTION TO THE NC TENNIS HALL OF FAME

The inductees shall be only those persons who by the excellence of their activities in or connected with North Carolina tennis have brought esteem to themselves and the State.

Inductees who are not native of North Carolina must have maintained a residence in North Carolina for at least ten years.

The process for making Hall of Fame nominations is as follows:

Complete and submit this nomination form

Upload any other information that would be helpful to the Hall of Fame Committee

Nominations for the inductees may be submitted by anyone prior to July 1 of each year

The information will then be given to the Hall of Fame Committee

The Hall of Fame Committee meets each August to make selections for the next induction (induction held in conjunction with the NCTA’s Tennis Weekend)

We have 3 categories for inductees. Player, Coach or Ambassador. Please indicate which one of the three your nominee aligns. The chosen category would be their primary reason for consideration but the nominator should also include contributions made in all areas and not just accomplishments in the one area that they designate. (e.g. A player who has also been a great ambassador.)*

Please note: this information will be kept on file. Nominees do not always get in the first year nominated. Some do not get in at all. You do not need to update the file every year unless there is some accomplishment or change for the nominee. Please do so by email to kelly@nctennis.com. That info will be relayed to the committee prior to the next meeting.

Announcment of the newest HOF Class is done after the US Open each year and is done so by press release, NCTA and NCTF social media plus both www.nctennis.com and www.northcarolinafoundation.com.
